In a world where humans can bend the four elements, water, earth, fire, and air, the ruthless Fire Nation has engaged the rest of the world in a war that has lasted one hundred years. The world's only hope is the Avatar, the only one who can master all four elements. When the Avatar returns one hundred years later, a young Airbender named Aang, it's up to him to defeat the Fire Nation, and bring balance to the world. When the hostile Fire Nation threatens to enslave the Water, Earth, and Air Nations, a reluctant and irresponsible boy must face his destiny as the Avatar, the Chosen One who can restore the world order. This new animated series centers on twelve-year-old Aang, who must forgo his selfish wandering to learn to master his latent powers over the four elements. Only then can he conquer the Firebenders, the evil nation that threatens the world. This show is great, especially for a cartoon show. The show revolves around Anng, who is both the last airbender and the avatar. Anng and his friends journey around their world to train Anng in the 4 arts of bending. Each form of bending is based on a different form of marshal art. The movements from the different fighting style are reflected in how the different benders bend their specific element. The research is a nice added touch and definitely gives this show its own unique feel.<br/><br/>The story line is great too with some genuinely funny parts mixed in with some powerful and moving dramatic sequences. I'm a huge fan of cartoons and this is defiantly one of the best out there. If you love cartoon shows this is a definite must see. I give it 5 airbenders…out of 5. Like a few others i can;t believe this show… Its humor is awesome i actually catch myself laughing out loud… Also the action, well not enough in my opinion but when there is my god i love it the techniques and concepts are awesome i love it, not only are the concepts for bending so well done they incorporate real weapons and styles into there fights and unlike other cheesy shows where there moves are unreal or totally unorthodox,Airbender shows real moves real weapons and totally satisfies the picky martial artists… Also sometimes the plot is predictable but its just so bloody funny i could care less… Major Props to the writers animators and creator. I'm looking forward to many seasons.
